Our first “Media Lab Monday” talk for 2012 is taking place on  Monday, 13 February, at 16:30 in E&E Lecture Hall E354 (Faculty of Engineering) at Stellenbosch University.

The speaker for this event is Leo Redelinghuys, General Manager for Touchlab.

With more than 10 years of digital media experience, Leo has always worked in close proximity to innovation. She currently leads the team at Touchlab; the far-out software development wing of Media24’s print operations. They are responsible for creating digital tools that offer new opportunities for their print brands to leverage a future on tablets and other digital media platforms.

Touchlab operates like a tech-startup, with a fun working environment, plenty of interesting perks, and a focus on a non-heirarchical structure to foster innovation. The team is dominated by engineers and computer scientist and a number other specialists including designers, multimedia journalists and business managers.

The event will be very informal with a Q&A afterwards and everyone is welcome! We look forward to seeing you there.
