Media Distribution.

In modern society the consumer decides when and how he wants to consume money, food, information, etc. In the broadcast media the broadcasting entity decides what the consumer can see and when he can see it. The Media distribution research area investigates new methods of distributing content to where it is needed, so that the consumer has control and not the broadcasting entity.

Research topics include peer-to-peer video streaming, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), high-bandwidth WiMAX networks as backbone infrastructure for community WANs.
