The Lab, which is supported by industry partner and international media giant, MIH, the internet division of Naspers, awards generous post-graduate bursaries to students from a wide variety of under-graduate research departments each year.
Students from electrical and electronic engineering, mathematical sciences (computer and applied mathematics), socio-informatics and business management are encouraged to apply for a bursary.
Although the first official round of applications closed on 30 September, bursary applications are welcomed throughout the year. Applicants will be considered on a first-come first-served basis.
The MIH Media Lab aims to participate in research on next-generation technologies that will influence the ways in which humans interact with computers, the Web and other forms of electronic media.
